This is my backyard honey. I live in a subdivision at the end of a private drive, surrounded by woods. This year, only four of my hives produced significant honey, but it’s always delicious. I maintain some overwintered hives and a few purchased queen splits.
I also use this yard as a nursery for swarm captures. This year, I caught 17 swarms, bringing them back, placing them in nuc boxes, and feeding them until they are strong enough to transfer into full-sized hives.
